Grief touches every community. Whether the result of the death of a loved one, family separation, foster care, trauma, or another life-changing event, loss can leave children, families, and adults feeling isolated and overwhelmed.

SOUL INC. exists to provide compassionate, grief-informed support, education, and community-based programming that helps individuals and families find hope, healing, and connection. Through peer support, outreach, education, and partnerships, we are creating spaces where healing happens together.

Grief and loss impact not only individuals but also families, schools, workplaces, and entire communities. Children and teens often grieve silently, and without early support, unresolved grief can affect emotional wellness, relationships, academic success, and long-term mental health.

Governance & Oversight

SOUL Inc. operates under the direction of a governing Board of Directors in accordance with its Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.

The Board is responsible for:

  • Fiduciary oversight

  • Strategic direction

  • Policy approval

  • Conflict of interest compliance

  • Organizational accountability

Board members serve in accordance with defined terms and governance policies designed to ensure ethical leadership, transparency, and sustainability.

SOUL Inc maintains:

  • Conflict of Interest policies

  • Documentation retention policies

  • Financial oversight procedures

  • Clinical compliance monitoring systems

Clinical services delivered through SOUL Inc. are further supported by supervision, documentation review, and fidelity monitoring consistent with DCS standards and professional best practices.

SOUL INC – Community Grief Support

SOUL Inc. is the nonprofit arm of the SOUL organization dedicated to providing grief-informed peer support programs, education, and community healing initiatives. Programs

Our programs create spaces where children, adults, and families navigating loss can find connection, understanding, and hope. SOUL Inc. is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

SOUL INC. is intentionally piloting grief-informed peer support, caregiver education, emotional wellness programming, and healing-centered community support services throughout Hamilton County and surrounding Central Indiana communities.
