Our Services

At SOUL Services, we offer compassionate, community-rooted, and grief-informed care that supports the whole family. Our services are designed to meet families where they are—physically, emotionally, and culturally—providing strength-based support that promotes healing, growth, and long-term resilience.

About Us

SOUL Services is a woman-owned, Indiana-based, grief-informed family support organization contracted with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). We provide community-based services designed to strengthen families and support safe, stable reunification.

Our programs include home-based casework, home-based therapy, father engagement, supervised parenting time, parent education, and family support services. These services help families address real-life challenges such as housing instability, employment barriers, parenting skills, and family communication.

Our team includes licensed clinicians, caseworkers, and trained family support professionals who work directly alongside parents, children, and caregivers in their homes and communities. We use evidence-based practices, client-centered and grief-informed approaches to help families build lasting, meaningful change.

SOUL Services is known for its grief-informed model, father-focused programming, practical skill-building, and relationship-centered approach to child welfare services. SOUL Services partners with its sister nonprofit, SOUL Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization providing grief-informed peer support groups and community education programs.

  • Case Management

Our case managers help families navigate systems, set goals, and access vital resources such as housing, employment, education, healthcare, and transportation. Support is personalized to reduce barriers and foster independence and stability.

  • Supervised Visitation

We offer structured and supportive visitation services that promote safe and healthy connections between children and non-custodial parents or caregivers. Our trained staff supervise interactions and offer coaching when needed to support positive family dynamics.

  • Parent Aide Services

Our parent aides provide hands-on, in-home support to help caregivers build and strengthen essential parenting skills. Areas of focus include household routines, discipline strategies, safety planning, and emotional connection.

  • Parent Education

We offer individualized and group-based parent education programs that teach practical, evidence-based parenting strategies. Topics include child development, trauma-informed parenting, co-parenting, communication, behavior management, and self-care. Our programs empower caregivers with tools to build safe, nurturing homes.

  • Peer-Led Grief Support

SOUL Services partners with its sister nonprofit, SOUL Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization providing grief-informed peer support groups and community education programs. Facilitated by trained individuals with lived experience, our grief support groups create a safe space for children, teens, and adults to process loss. Sessions focus on sharing stories, building coping skills, and fostering a sense of connection and hope.

  • Specialized Grief-Informed Services

As Indiana’s first grief-informed provider contracted with DCS, SOUL Services integrates grief support across all service areas. We help families process losses such as death, foster placement, incarceration, and separation—offering therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, and rituals of remembrance to support emotional healing and resilience.

  • Father Engagement

We offer tailored support for fathers to strengthen their role in their children’s lives. Services include mentoring, parenting coaching, and family reunification support that acknowledges the unique experiences and needs of fathers.

  • Family Functioning Assessment (FFA)

Our licensed professionals conduct comprehensive evaluations of a family’s dynamics, strengths, and risk factors. FFAs inform case planning, ensure service alignment, and help track progress toward reunification or stability.

  • Diagnostic & Evaluation Services

We provide mental health assessments to identify emotional, behavioral, or developmental concerns. These evaluations inform treatment recommendations and support appropriate referrals for therapy, medication, or other specialized care.
